Introduction to HTML

HTML is based on, a series of shortcodes typed into a text-file, which then saved as an HTML file and can be viewed through a browser like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc. These browsers translate the tags and other elements in the HTML, into text formats that can be read by us.

The tags are the difference factor between HTML code and Normal text. They are known as the words in between angle-brackets. They appear at the start and the end of a sentence, headline or paragraph depending on the use. Basically what the browser does with this code is, it identify what it stands for and renders the page to you according to those codes. From simple to complex these tags can contain varied information, you will not see these codes on the web page, but you can see the effects.
